INT DEN SWE NOR NORD CH Wolfhouse Melody Maker sadly passed away at the age of 9 years and 7 months from an extremely aggressive infection and high temp which literally took his life in just a matter of hours. The infection was not pneumonia. Nothing conclusive has been determined.
Mana is one of those rare creatures whom you feel blessed to have met. He seems to make lasting impressions on everyone who spends time in his company. Having him here with us is more than just a privilege. He is a true Alpha; gentle and unassertive, yet very well respected by all the other dogs. He has a wonderfully subtle sense of humor, he is a problem solver who loves to explore and never engages in a fight unless he is hard pressed. When he was a puppy, I had a difficult time choosing between the 8 boys in the litter. 6 of them were outstanding, but aside from being extremely promising conformationally Mana was the one who managed to avoid the conflicts with an incredible air of dignity. He was never picked on by his brothers. Most puppies take time to mature and show what they contain. Mana always had presence -- a larger than life character from the very beginning.
Mana's show career has been very steady -- always placing in the top. He has numerous championship titles: Danish CH; Norwegian CH, Swedish CH, Nordic CH, IW-club CH and last but not least International CH. He has numerous group wins and placements as well as placements in Best In Show at large all breed shows. We are slowly retiring him, so to give room for his progeny. He is now at the age of 6 years, the sire of USA Ch Tullaghan's Connell, DK Ch Allegria of First Avenue NordicV-04, LvCh Dwar's Valley Hedy, USA Ch Wolfhouse Potpourri, DK S Ch Wolfhouse Pergolesi WorldWJr-2002, DK Ch Wolfhouse Pavane CopenhagenW-04, GB Ch Culkeeran Phantom of Grifemy, DK Ch Wolfhouse Ornette Coleman, PL Ch Wolfhouse Octavia, USA Ch Wolfhouse O'Neill, DK Ch Wolfhouse O'Day, DK Ch Wolfhouse Notes for Blues, S Ch Wolfhouse Night at the Opera, with many, many other offspring well on their way towards their championship titles.
